MY STORY

I grew up in Cape Town in a big family. My twin sister and I are the youngest of five. Life was pretty much chaos all the time and I think that's where my love for connection and storytelling really began.

I've moved around more time than I can count but I've finally settled back home in the Cape. This time in the Winelands where life is a little slower, a little fuller.

I married my best friend during covid and together we are raising our three beautiful girls. If I'm not working, you'll find me outdoors spending time with my family, running or surviving a HIIT class. Travel and weekends away in quiet, dreamy places fills my cup.

 

where it all began

 

Before I was a photographer, I was a kid in a house full of cameras, documenting our crazy family. My dad had a photo shop, and I loved watching him develop prints for other families. I think that's where it started: the quiet understanding that these photos matter.


When I bought my first DSLR after school, the bug really bit. I took a few courses through Vega Brand School, but it was practice, and later motherhood, that taught me how to really see.

20+ years later and I can honestly say I still come alive behind the camera.

Things you need to know about my style of shooting.

You don't need to smile or look at the camera. in fact, i prefer you don't :)

i don't do any awkward posing, instead you will be moving, playing, cuddling, laughing and having fun.

my sessions are child led. which means I follow your kids' lead and don't expect them to sit still or "behave".
